Artist Meet & Greet:
January 11 @ 6:00 am - 9:00 pm
Sarah Schneiderman at Indian Hill Country Club
Opening reception will be January 11th from 6-8 p.m.
Having spent her summers in early childhood at Bethany Beach, Delaware, Sarah Schneiderman, has had a long love affair with the water. It wasn’t until 2013, though, that she focused her artwork on the creatures of the sea. This practice commenced after learning to scuba dive and spending many months on Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean. She also resides at Glastonbury, CT.
Sarah uses found and recycled materials and debris generated in daily life as her medium. Her Aquatic Life Series investigates the relationship between the beauty of the oceans, massive amounts of trash generated by human beings, and the impact of human activity on sea creatures and reefs.
Sarah received an MFA from California Institute of the Arts. Her work has been exhibited across the United States from Georgia to Washington state including stops in New York, Maryland, Iowa, and Colorado. Publications include Glastonbury Life, Artist Portfolio Magazine, ArtExhibeo.Com, and ArtKatalyst.
Sarah received a Merit Award at Arts Center East Sixth Annual Juried Multimedia Exhibit for her Yellowtail Snapper assemblage, Third Award at CWA 87th Annual National Open Juried Show for her portrait of Steven Bannon, and First Prize at Art League of New Britain’s 27th Annual Members Carriage House Exhibit for her portrait of Scott Pruitt.
